About
Hi everyone! My name is Scott Sprich and I’m a recent pen enthusiast.

Being a new father and home more often, I’m finding time to explore new interests. One of many new interests I have relates to the fountain pen industry.
My father has always been an avid lover of fountain pens so this is where my intro to the field began.
To help me learn more about the field, of these fine writing instruments, a blog seemed the way to go. While learning though, I wanted to document my resources and research on the topic. So why not share with others passionate about the topic, or just starting out like me.
This blog will have a collection of resources, links, how-to instruction, videos and much more on the fountain pen industry. As I learn, I hope to make the process easier for others and make penfountain.org a go to place for all things pen.
Background On Me
Like many, I lost my job in the IT field, due to outsourcing. Mine was to Costa Rica! That’s ok though, because everything happens for a reason and here we are today.
I’m 32 years old, youngest of 5 and uncle to 7 nieces. Really, 7 nieces. Now I have a daughter. To think, I always busted my older brothers’ chops, about not being able to produce boys, and now a girl for me. I gotta say though, having daddy’s little girl first is awesome.
My wife Melissa and I have been married for 2 years, and our first child Liliana Marie, was born on August 22, 2009.
Being a JETS fan has always been huge in my family and now I pass the torch!

SORRY KID, IT’S TOUGH BEING A JETS FAN!!
If I could play golf everyday of my life, I would probably still be horrible, but I love it anyway. I’d like to think I’m handy, I snowboard and even bowl every week, on a league, with my brothers.
It’s fun getting together every week, just to get yelled at and told how much I suck, by my older brothers.
In closing, enjoy the site, surf around the multiple articles and topics, watch the videos and please leave me feedback.
Feel free to contact me at scott@penfountain.org.
Cheers
